What you will be a master at doing:

 

  • Perform month-end closing procedures for a variety of clients
  • Use advanced system functions to expedite processing time and optimize reporting
  • Use Excel to report, summarize, reconcile and analyze data
  • Assist with the creation of cash-flow models, budgets, forecasts, and other analyses using advanced Excel techniques
  • Collaborate with team members to develop solutions to complex business challenges
  • Identify variances and trends in financial data
  • Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, presenting findings, and making recommendations
  • Extract, analyze and interpret high volumes of data from various sources, including accounting and operating systems
  • Use critical-thinking skills to identify exceptions and errors in data, and make corrections
  • Produce general ledger information that is strategically aligned with our clients’ business models
  • Participate in team meetings to anticipate and provide ideas for process-improvement opportunities
  • Use prior experiences to develop creative approaches to solving new issues
  • Travel on occasion(generally short trips: 2-3 days)

 

 

The perfect fit for this position will be:

 

Incredibly Technical…

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; MBA or dual degree in finance preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a mix of accounting and finance roles
  • Public accounting and/or consulting & experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent business acumen
  • Advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills, or basic excel skills and a willingness to learn
  • Strong general accounting knowledge (month/year-end close, general ledger, financial systems, financial reporting, consolidations, cash flow, etc.)
  • Ability to plan engagements, allocate work, review quality, and manage the client delivery process
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with changing priorities
  • Big-picture and detail oriented
